The Herald Democrat serves the Texoma region, covering the counties of Grayson, Fannin, Texas and portions of Collin, Cooke, Denison, Delta, Lamar and Hunt counties in Texas and Bryan County Okla., and publishes Sunday through Friday.
The Herald Democrat has deep roots in the community, dating back to the 1800s. It was formed on Sept. 1, 1996, with the merger of the Denison Herald and the Sherman Democrat. The Herald began publishing in 1889, and the Democrat began in 1879.
The main office is located in Sherman, with a bureau office in Denison.
In addition to the daily newspaper, the Herald Democrat publishes the Anna Melissa Tribune, Van Alstyne Leader, Prosper Press, Grayson County Shopper, Cooke County Shopper, North Collin Shopper, Bryan County Shopper, Marshall /Johnson Counties Shopper and Lake Texoma Life.
Located on the East side of U.S. Highway 75. From U.S. 75 North, take the Park Avenue exit and continue on the frontage road past the Center Street intersection. The parking lot is on the right.
